Earlier this year, at Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas, LG had unveiled its signature product line-up including the 4K HDR-enabled OLED TV.
Comprising a flagship 77-inch and a 65-inch OLED TV, the company claims that the flat panels offer exceptional contrast and colour along with 4K Ultra HD resolution and high-dynamic range (HDR) capability.
The new OLED TVs have been certified as UHD Premium by the UHD Alliance and the series supports the industry-standard HDR formats established by the world's leading broadcasters, film studios and consumer electronics manufacturers, including HDR10 and DolbyVision technology, which makes it compatible to play all formats.
According to our sources, LG is likely to launch its Signature OLED TVs with similar specifications in India in the second half of this year.
There is no update on the pricing yet but LG has been really aggressive in the flat panel space in India.
In overseas markets, the company has even released its first Super Bowl commercial featuring actor Liam Neeson along with the flagship OLED TV, which the company might be using to promote the new technology across different markets.
